How to choose the size

How to choose the size of a shirt

The main parameter for determining the size of a men's shirt has always been the neck circumference.

The collar of your shirt should be tight around your neck, but loose enough to feel comfortable. When trying on a new shirt, a finger should fit between the collar and the neck.

The collar of a man's shirt should protrude from under the collar of a jacket by about a centimeter. The shoulder line of a men's shirt should match your natural shoulder line exactly, as the discrepancy will immediately catch your eye. The sleeve of the shirt should protrude from under the jacket by about a centimeter. The cuffs should be fairly tight around the wrist, but there should be freedom of movement.

In order to determine the size of the collar you need, measure yourself with a measuring tape around the neck at the base, at the level of the fossa between the neck and the sternum, but do not tighten it tight and round it up. The resulting figure is your size. For example, the figure turned out to be 39.5 cm. So your collar size is 40. There is no need to add more, since half a centimeter is already laid in our shirts.

Using these measurements, you can easily find a shirt of the right size. This is possible even without trying on, since our shirts also take into account completeness.

You need to choose the Slim body group, if your physique is slim and the Classic body group, if you have a tummy or want a loose fit shirt.

If you have long or short arms, we advise you to simply measure the line of the sleeve from shoulder to wrist and shoulder width, or take this measurement from the shirt you wear and which is ideal for you along the sleeve length. In addition, you can measure your waist and chest, and compare the measurements with our measurements in the table below. If you are measuring your waist and chest not by the product, but by yourself, then do not forget to add about 10 cm for freedom of movement.

If you buy a shirt as a gift and there is no way to take measurements from a man, then the most convenient way would also be to measure a shirt that “fits him perfectly”.

For this purpose, you can take any knitted thing, for example, a polo.

Spread the item flat on some surface and take measurements with a measuring tape or ruler.

But when buying a men's shirt, keep in mind that the shirt should be a little loose.

Below are tables of shirt measurements - shoulder width, waist circumference and sleeve length in accordance with the collar size (shirt size).
